Catawba Island Historical Society Branding
This project encompassed creating a logo and branding system for the Catawba Island Historical Society as well as producing various collateral to promote the organization. Collateral included a leather cover for the rebound and printed book Legends of Catawba, table cards to promote the CIHS Facebook page at a community chicken dinner, and a stationary package with business cards, a formatted letterhead, custom return address for envelopes, and a membership brochure to inform readers about joining the historical society. The CIHS logo was inspired by the local legend of Ottawa warrior Nabagon. Also referred to as “The Watcher”, Nabagon’s profile once magically appeared as a rocky outcrop that surveyed over Lake Erie. It was said he watched over and protected all inhabitants of Catawba Island.
